Great Britain's Elderly Turning To Marijuana For Pain Relief

Reuters reported that a British drug squad is finding that the patrons of local dealers are no longer only the young (July 14, 1994). In increasing numbers, older Brits are finding that marijuana relieves the pain associated with arthritis, rheumatism, sclerosis, and other pains. Apparently, the message of the benefits of marijuana has spread through elderly populations primarily by word of mouth.
