Anti-Drunk Driving Politician Arrested for D.U.I.

Raleigh, North Carolina State Senator George Miller Jr. was charged in late November with driving under the influence of alcohol (USA Today, Nov. 23, 1994, p. 10A). Miller championed strict drunk driving laws and was rumored to be a candidate for a state Supreme Court seat. He was nabbed in a "Booze It & Lose It" weekend roadblock.
